The original actress couldn't make the shoot at short notice, so I found myself donning the romany gypsy outfit I had supplied. It was silent, and there had been no time to prepare. At the word action, the cameras rolled. And I hope I did my idols proud. If only there were more opportunities for a silent movie actress...
